grateful for your helping hand in feeding the hungry children and their
families everywhere!During the Christmas season, many take the time to focus on family - especially our children. We anticipate the smiles, laughter, and happiness that this season brings. What joy it brings us to watch our children love life as we make many lasting memories on Christmas day. However, during this season, there are many families that will not be able to give gifts or even enjoy a Christmas dinner. But thanks to your generosity, we will bring lasting memories to those in need. Many children and their families will experience the joy of this holiday season as we bring them a kind gift of nourishment. And as we reach out to the hungry, our prayer is that some might just gain a new love for life and hope for the future. This could possibly be the most meaningful gift you and I can give. Underwriting
the expense of collection and transportation is the greatest challenge in
supplying food and emergency supplies. The Truck Sponsorship program
allows an individual, company, group, church or school to provide food,
basic necessities and needed supplies to those in need. Contents The contents of truck will vary depending
upon currently available goods. A truck may contain a selection of food
and other basic products. Family food boxes weigh approximately 26 pounds
and contain supplemental foods for a family of four for approximately one
week. Based on nutritional equivalents, a meal supplement equals
approximately one-quarter pound. Product Value The Retail value of your sponsored Feed
The Children truck may range from approximately $30,000 to $50,000.
Shipment weight and value vary depending upon the contents of each
individual shipment. Who Receives
Food / Supplies Truck Sponsorship food and basic items
are distributed to children and families in the United States who are
suffering from hunger, poverty, and natural disasters. Food
Distribution Feed The Children works with a network of
feeding agencies that provide necessary food and supplies to food
pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, feeding centers and other
programs across the nation. During disasters, Feed The Children combines
efforts with other relief agencies to provide critically needed food,
medical supplies, and other emergency items. Timetable Truck Sponsorship donations must be
received 30 days in advance of distribution date. During that time period,
Feed The Children will choose a qualified agency that meets our standards
for distribution. Funds donated are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
To sponsor a Feed The Children truck,
Feed The Children is a nonprofit, Christian organization providing
physical, spiritual, educational, vocational / technical, psychological,
economic, and medical assistance, and other necessary aid to children,
families, and persons in need in the United States and internationally.
Feed The Children's offices are located at 333 N. Meridian in Oklahoma
City, OK. Last year, over 50% of Feed The Children's assistance was sent
to locations in the United States. |
